Officer Flight Pay

Commissioned officers and warrant officers who are on flying status receive monthly flight pay, known as Aviation Career Incentive Pay.
The amount of pay received is based upon years of aviation service, not years of military service.

Special Rules. These officers must have:
- 8 years of operational flying duty as of their 12th year of aviation service in order to receive continuous flight pay through 18 years of service.
- 10 years of operational flying duty as of their 18 year of aviation service in order to receive continuous flight pay through 22 years of service.
- 12 years of operational flying duty as of their 18th year of aviation service in order to receive continuous flight pay through 25 years of service.
